Running with your stuff shouldn't feel like this

📱

The shorts-pocket slap

Your phone hammers your thigh twice per stride, drags your waistband down, and you spend half the run pushing it back in.

💪

The armband arm

One numb, sweaty bicep, a screen you can't reach, and a tan line shaped like a strap. Checking a map means stopping.

🔑

The juggling act

Keys in one fist, phone in the other, nothing to drink for 10 km — and gels? Forget it. Your hands were never meant to be luggage.

Why the chest — and why it doesn't bounce

Everything that bounces, bounces because it hangs. Waist belts swing with your hips.

Backpacks pump up and down with every footstrike. SPACEY takes a different route: it locks the

load flat against your sternum — the one part of your torso that barely moves when you run.

✗ Hanging storage

Belts, armbands and loose pockets hold your gear away from your centre of mass. Every stride whips it around — that's the bounce, the chafe and the constant readjusting.

✓  The LockFrame™ way

Four anchor points — two over the shoulders, two around the ribs — pull the pack into your sternum, so it moves as part of your body. Cinch it once; it stays put from warm-up to sprint finish.

210 g

lighter than a can of soda — you stop noticing it in minutes

1.5 L

≈ 90 minutes of running hydration in the HydraCell bladder

140 m

the distance headlights pick up the NightGrid reflective print

Left:  a shorts pocket — your phone bounces about twice per stride.

Right: locked flat on the sternum, moving with you, not against you.

Every other way to carry, compared

  SPACEY Armband Waist belt Daypack
Phone stays put at pace
Water on board ✓ 1.5 L ~ 0.3 L
Keys, cards & gels too tight
Bounce at sprint pace none low high high
Night visibility built in ✓ 360° rare
Sweaty arm / hot back no yes no yes

On and out the door in 30 seconds

Load it

Phone in the soft-lined side pouch, keys and cards in the zip pocket, gels under the bungee. Fill the HydraCell and drop it in the back vest.

Clip & cinch

Two buckles, one pull on each side strap. The LockFrame draws the pack flat onto your sternum — snug, not tight.

Go

Bite the valve to drink, glance down to grab a gel, and keep your stride. Your hands stay free the whole way.

Is Spacey right for you?

We'd rather you know before you order. It fits most bodies and most runs — but not every run.

Skip it if…

You race ultras and need 2 L+ with soft flasks up front — get a dedicated race vest

You want to carry a laptop, a jacket and lunch — this is a carry system, not a commuter bag

You run naked-wrist, no phone, no keys — honestly, you don't need us

Spacey is for you if…

You run, ride, hike or walk with a phone — and want water without a bottle in your fist

You've tried armbands or belts and hated the bounce, the sweat or the tan line

You're out at dawn, dusk or full dark and want drivers to see you first

Your chest measures 60–125 cm — one size, fully adjustable, unisex

How far away drivers pick you up at night

Typical low-beam pickup distances. At 50 km/h a driver covers 14 metres per second —

every extra metre of visibility is reaction time you didn't have before.

Verified reviews from customers in the US, Canada, Australia and the UK.

Marathon block, week 6. Phone, four gels, keys and the bladder — nothing moves, even at 5:00/km intervals. I tightened it once on day one and haven't touched the straps since. It's the first piece of kit I genuinely forget I'm wearing.

I commute by bike before sunrise and this replaced both my backpack and my clip-on light guilt. Cars give me noticeably more room now — the reflective print really does light up. Pro Max fits in the side pocket with a case on. Whistle already saved me from one loose dog.

Priya S.  Verified buyer

Bought it for night dog walks — poop bags, phone, keys, torch, all in one place and both hands on the lead. Comfy over a hoodie too. My wife "borrowed" it for her runs, so the Duo Set is on its way.

Run in it. Sweat in it. Decide later.

Take 90 days. Do your long runs, your rain runs, your worst hill repeats. If SPACEY isn't the most comfortable way you've ever carried your stuff, send it back — even used — for a full refund. Stitching and buckles are additionally covered by a 2-year warranty. No forms, no interrogation: one email, done.

Questions runners ask us

Does it really not bounce?

That's the whole point of the LockFrame™. Four anchor points pull the pack flat against your sternum — the most stable part of your running body. Cinch the side straps snug (not tight) and it moves with your ribcage instead of against it. If yours bounces, it's too loose: one pull fixes it.

Which phones fit?

The soft-lined side pouch takes phones up to 6.9″ — that's every current Pro Max / Ultra, with a normal case on. The pocket is fleece-lined so your screen doesn't ride against a zipper.

How much water is 1.5 L really?

About 90 minutes of running for most people in mild weather. The HydraCell™ sits in the back vest, the hose clips to your shoulder strap, and you drink through the bite valve without breaking stride. It's food-grade TPU with a wide-mouth opening, so it's easy to fill and easy to dry.

Won't a chest pack feel hot?

The back of the pack — the side against your body — is open honeycomb mesh, and the whole thing weighs 210 g. It covers less skin than a race bib top. In summer most customers run it over a singlet and forget it's there.

Can I wash it?

Shell: hand wash cold, hang dry — 10 minutes of effort a couple of times a season. Bladder: rinse warm after sports drinks, air dry with the cap off. Don't tumble-dry either.

What sizes does it come in?

One size, genuinely adjustable: the straps span chest circumferences from 60 to 125 cm, so it fits teens through broad-chested adults, over a tee or over a winter layer. It's unisex — about 40% of our customers are women.

Shipping and returns?

Orders ship within 24 hours with free tracked delivery — typically 5–9 working days to the US, Canada, Australia and the UK. Then you have the full 90-Day Sweat-Test: return it in any condition for a refund.

Why we made this

For ten years I ran with my phone in my hand. I told myself I didn't mind. Then one wet October morning it slipped at kilometre 8, and I watched the screen shatter in slow motion on the towpath.

So I tried everything else. The armband that turned my bicep into a swamp. The waist belt that spun around my hips like a hula hoop. The backpack that drummed on my spine at every footstrike. The problem was always the same: everything hung off the body instead of locking onto it.

The sternum barely moves when you run — film yourself and see. Build the carry there, anchor it at four points, and bounce simply has nowhere to come from. It took 14 harness revisions to make that true at sprint pace. That's the LockFrame, and it's why SPACEY exists.

One honest note: this is a carry system, not an ultra-race vest. If you need two litres and front flasks for a mountain hundred, buy a race vest — a good one. For every other run, ride and walk of your life, this is the most comfortable way to bring your world along.
